OpenSwarm Join the waitlist

Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026

This policy explains what Open Swarm Inc. ("we", "us") collects when you visit openswarm.com or join our waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website, our waitlist emails, and how the OpenSwarm app handles data from Google accounts you connect to it (see Google user data in the OpenSwarm app). Use of the OpenSwarm app is also governed by its license agreement.

What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Advertising measurement

When we advertise, we use advertising pixels from X (formerly Twitter) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure how our ads perform, for example whether someone who clicked an ad later joined the waitlist. These platforms may collect information about your visit, such as the page viewed, your browser and IP address, and combine it with information they already have. If you arrive from an ad, we keep the ad's click identifier in your browser for up to 90 days and store it with your signup.

When you join the waitlist, we also report the signup to Meta directly from our servers so it is counted even if your browser blocks the pixel. That report includes a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address, your browser's user agent and IP address, and the ad click identifier, which Meta uses to match the signup to an ad. We do not send your email address in readable form. Each platform's use of this information is governed by its own policy: X's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy. You can turn all of this off below; nothing is reported to advertisers when you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

How we use information

Emails

If you join the waitlist, we will email you about early access, invitations and product updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your email address or share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only exception to sharing it at all is the hashed ad-measurement report described above, which you can turn off.

To understand whether our emails are useful, we measure whether an email was opened (using a tiny image that loads when the email is displayed) and whether its main button was clicked (the button passes briefly through our website). We record this against the email we sent you, not your browsing elsewhere. You can prevent open measurement by turning off automatic image loading in your email app. If an email is sent through our backup delivery provider, that provider also reports whether it was delivered or bounced.

Google user data in the OpenSwarm app

The OpenSwarm app lets you connect your Google account so its agents can work with your Google services when you ask them to. This section explains how the app handles that data. We will add more detail here as the app develops.

What the app accesses and why

The app asks for access when you connect a Google service, and uses it only for the tasks you ask its agents to do. Depending on the features you use, this can include reading, drafting, sending and organizing email in Gmail; viewing and managing events in Google Calendar; and finding, reading, creating and editing files in Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides. Google shows you the exact permissions before you connect.

How it is used and where it goes

Storage and deletion

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, under contracts that limit their use of it:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

Your privacy choices

Turn off advertising measurement (the X and Meta pixels and our signup reports to Meta) and session recordings in this browser. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically. Our own first-party site analytics are not shared with advertisers.

California residents

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Our advertising measurement with X and Meta may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; use the opt-out above or a Global Privacy Control signal to stop it. In the past 12 months we collected the categories described under What we collect (identifiers, internet activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences about which channel brought you) for the purposes above. To exercise your rights, email privacy@openswarm.com. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Retention

Detailed website usage events are deleted after 13 months. Waitlist records, including the signup-wording record, are kept while the waitlist and early-access program run, or until you ask us to delete them. Records of unsubscribes and opt-outs are kept so we can honor them.

Security

Waitlist contact details are stored in a private database that is not accessible from the public website. Access is limited to a small number of team members, and viewing or exporting full email addresses or phone numbers is logged. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information we already have, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
